I live in Arizona so here is Danny Lopez-Salvador Sanchez 1. Everytime I drive by the building I think "darn, that is where Danny Lopez lost his title and Salvador Sanchez won his!!"

    Your turn.

I don't know about the whole state, but Colma is a short drive from me, where Jack Johnson had some of his fights including Stanley Ketchel. I asked on another website, and a local historian told he where he thinks they were held.

Interesting because the thing that made it a fighting spot--outside of San Francisco and outside of the laws, turned it into a city of cemeteries for the same reason when they made it illegal to inter people in SF. You can wander the cemeteries and find all sorts of famous types, like Wyatt Earp and Joe DiMaggio.

How about De La Hoya-Mosley 1 or Duran-Cuevas, or the Ali-Norton first two bouts?

    Toledo, Ohio. July 4th, 1919.

Jack Dempsey beats the living daylights out of Jesse Willard in the sweltering heat of the glass city.

Fun fact 1: Toledo is called the "Glass City" because the Glass industry was booming in this area. It's also where my user/ring name comes from and is a nod to Thomas Hearns' nick name the "Motor City Cobra" of Detroit, another city I've stayed in and visited multiple times.

Fun fact 2: This fight is so old that it happened a full 11 years before my grandmother was born.

Stanley Ketchel fought 20 plus times in the city where I live, before he was run out of time for vagrancy because he caused a lot of trouble. Probably the most famous 'fight' here was an exhibition involving Jack Munroe and James Jefferies; Munroe did so well in the exhibition that it got him a title shot where he didn't do nearly as well.

Only thing coming to mind would be Terry Norris knocking out John Mugabi at the USF Sun Dome.

Where I was born and raised: Pryor-Arguello 1.

I’m from Alabama. I have attended three Deontay Wilder title defenses in Birmingham (and I think four of his fights pre-title in the state, something like that).

I guess Eric Molina was the biggest because it was the first world championship boxing match ever held in Alabama (of a ‘real’ title … pretty sure there were a couple of WBF affairs down in Mobile).

I’ve also seen Jesse James Hughes fight in Alabama and some others, and the record books say Willie Pep fought in Mobile also but not in a championship fight (and believe it or not, before my time haha). The Wilder title bouts were obviously the biggest.

You could also argue for Liston-Ali I in Florida.
