I think Pereira focused too much on the takedown threat in the first match, once he treated Ankalaev as a striker, Ankalaev looked shell-shocked by his striking.

 Emmet talked so much about increasing his power, only to get tapped in less than two minutes.
That guy will never realize that he should actually work on his weaknesses instead of constantly doubling down on his power, as if lack of power is why he has lost these fights.

Prochazka vs Roundtree was great, but fought at a much slower pace than I anticipated. Prochazka seems incapable of perceiving calf kicks. I swear he does not acknowledge that the technique exists, and that its a major weakness of his.
And once again Prochazka basically brute forces his way to a win, he really is special in that regard. His ability to throw solutions at a problem is a very rare gift in combat sports in general.

I cant believe that Merab almost took Sandhagen out in the second. Merab has finally figured out how to put weight behind his punches, and is an absolute menace. Probably going to be a few years before his stamina slows down a bit, and someone beats him again.
But! Sandhagen did a lot better than I and many others expected. He found his range in the 4th, and made it quite competitive. 49-45 across the board did not show just how competitive the fight was.

Pereira smashing Ankalaev the way he did was just sweet. I thought he would loose another boring ass decision, but instead he came out super aggressive, but in a smart way. Ankalaev had no room to breathe or think, and got taken out the first time he made a mistake.
Stoppage seemed premature at first, but those elbows were vicious.

What if they did a 1 and 1...one boxing and one MMA?

Pereira would probably get knocked out before he can make it to the MMA round.
