Davis will go down as a posterchild of wasted potential. What's sad was that it was clear this was his career path very early on, but his diehard supporters were more than happy to shell out money for his poor PPV matchups. His 4 or 5 arrests didn't help his career much either.

Average. Keeps saying boxing is dead yet he's one of the ones killing it.

Elite, world class, who would have been an ATG if he took the right fights.

He swerved the best and didn't rematch the tough fighters like Cruz and Roach. If his goal was to make a lot of money, then he succeeded. Can't totally blame a guy for using the sport before it uses him. I believe he had the potential to be among the best of his era.

His legacy is that he was someone that represented everything that's wrong with boxing. Did what he could to never fully test himself by avoiding the top fighters. Truly wasted potential with no real drive for legacy other than money and he made it very clear. Had the talents to be a great fighter but wasn't confident in his own abilities to be considered as one.

Boxing Burn out. Clearly doesnt love it. Career feels unfinished. More of a what could have been story.

I wasnt a believer early on but I started to see something great there possibly but only if he tested himself better.

Davis sold well without trying too hard, chose money over legacy....

He won’t be remembered. There wasn’t anything rememberable.
