If Usyk turned pro pre-the creation of the CW division he wouldn't need to bulk up to fight literal giants who were way bigger, heavier and more powerful and if he were to be facing a genuine SHW sized giant very occasionally he wouldn't be facing the athletic, skilled, and fast for their size SHW sized giants of today he would generally be facing low skill, slow and unathletic Frankenstein's monsters who didn't even know how to use their range

And a pre-invention of the CW division Usyk would be the razor sharp, mongoose agility and reflexes, higher output and more accurate Usyk we saw in the WSB and CW division and if you want to argue that version had a (shock horror) close fight vs Briedis and lost a few rounds in some of his other fights at CW, we have to fact in that he's far from a one-trick pony and is a versatile fighter who chose to fight in certain styles for certain fights and when he wants to be much more elusive and difficult to pin down he can box beautifully when chooses to do so

I think at the very top levels if you give them 10 fights to see who is better, like Usyk vs Lennox Lewis 10 times, they end up winning some and losing some each. I think at the very top levels they are all so smart and talented that you wouldn’t get anyone to dominate it all. But Usyk is definitely up there amongst the best of the best.

    Yup

He seems to come out on top of every H2H matchup no matter who the opponent is

But is he really that skilled? I've only seen him fight 1 way.

It's hilarious to me some of these names ya'll are throwing out lmao. I'd pick the Roy Jones that beat Ruiz to embarrass Usyk. I'd pick James Toney to whop him. Let alone.ALI lmao!

This might be the dumbest comment on boxing that I've read in my entire life.

That's your opinion. But you also think beating a coked up Tyson Fury makes you an ATG heavyweight.

Unlike all the risk averse giant chicken/octopus hybrid have gloves won't travel road worrier slicksters from the modern American school of 'slickness' (which is primarily a fear based school of slickness) many of whom are weight bullies who are terrified of getting clipped by the wind of a punch from light-hitting leprechauns, Usyk is not only a versatile boxer (how can anyone even dispute this?) but he outboxes his opponents on both the front and backfoot or just by standing in front of you using lateral movement and he does so by utilizing pure skill not running like a cheetah, holding like an octopus and ducking his head down below waist level in order to avoid getting hit even though he's run a gauntlet of savage punching KO artists, savage punching giants, and legit bangers like no other champs in the sport right now have

He's been boxing on the backfoot (when he chooses to do so) since he was a green amateur and he can do it as well as anyone, let alone for a HW

Time Machine strategy — there won’t be PED testing. So he could show up for his fight with ‘66 Ali on the Evan Fields modern nutrition plan…

Not the dumbest. Unfortunately I have seen worse. I've seen stuff that made me scrub my eyeballs with bleach. But it might be the dumbest one this month, and I've been on the Flat Earth thread today.

Imagine if the benchmark for greatness in the 70s or 90s was Daniel Dubois x2 and Joshua x2 as half of your entire HW resume.
