Carl Thompson vs David Haye - Haye battered him to start out with but Carl was always a survivor. Kept in the fight and Haye tired.

David Izon had few very impressive comebacks.

Darroll Wilson dropped him and nearly KO'd in round 1, Izon came back to KO Wilson in 4th.

Terrence Lewis had Izon badly hurt in 3rd and knocked him down in 4th, Izon turned the fight around and stopped Lewis in 5th.

Derrick Jefferson beat the hell out of him for 8 rounds, Izon took a true beating, survived and stopped tired Jefferson in 9th.

    Frazier vs Ali III.

Ali well ahead after 6 rounds.

After 14 rounds, regardless of what the judges had, Frazier had just about levelled things.

Then it was a case of who blinked first on their stools with a round to go.

Ali told Dundee to 'cut my gloves off' because he was done. Dundee, being as smart as a fox, waited on Futch in the other corner. Frazier couldn't see. So Futch called it. Ali took a step off his stool to celebrate and collapsed.

Sweetpea v Hurtado. The master boxer was getting schooled by the Cuban throughout this fight and was behind on all 3 cards going into rd 11. Pea landed about a dozen HARD left hands. At least 6-7 need not have landed but Mercante Jr went AWOL for a few seconds which left Hurtado essentially unconscious and half way out of the ring.

Grant v Golota. Typical Golota fight where he was absolutely dominating but when things got tough he looked for a way out. Can’t think of any other fighter that was worse when it came to facing adversity.

Honorable mention to Marquez in Pac I. He didn’t win but what a monumental effort to get a draw out of this after being down 3 x in the 1st.
