He's compared boxing to a drug and says if he isn't training everyday he feels dead. Not boxing training everyday but rather just doing physical training. He's not doing that because of money he's doing it because that's been his life since he was a teenager at the very least

He doesn't need anymore money for himself and his family he's earned hundreds of millions and is rich beyond his wildest dreams. He's been the very definition of a legacy fighter and the smart thing to do would be to bow out on top at an age when Father Time's record is 2nd to none, with his legacy unblemished and faculties intact, and more money than he could ever spend

With all due respect, I disagree with you. He's fighting for money, not for legacy.

He faced off Jake Paul to boost his legacy?

If he fought for legacy as you said and if he thought he had "tons of money" for him and his family, he would retire after Fury fight.

But no, he keeps continuing fighting for MORE MONEY. And there's nothing wrong with that.

His last fight will be against Jake Paul, for a paycheck worth $100M, not for "legacy".

If Turki is willing to severelly overpay Usyk to face Parker or Kabayel, I guess its ok to do one or 2 more fights. Cant really see Usyk losing them.

After that its exhibitions only, with Paul and Alex Teixeira being the most interesting.

His legacy is complete. Intact. Objective completed. You scored an A +, Mr Usyk. And it will remain intact and unblemished forever if he retires.

Yes, he can earn an absolute king's ransom fighting Jake ''Money'' Paul in a crossover fight. That won't affect his legacy and it's a one-off, not 2 or 3 more years of boxing and gruelling training spending three months away from his family before every fight when he's already an old man in boxing terms, past his prime, and at an age where the chances of him losing absolutely skyrocket

I do not think turki can pay usyk enough to face kabayel . Ukraine needs a hero and the risk to loose against kabayel is real .

He wants to retire undefeated at any costs

You're accusing him of doing something he's never done. HE'S NEVER FOUGHT JAKE PAUL, and no such fight is scheduled.

If he actually fights Jake Paul, then say that - but he has NOT done so.

Usyk will retire in the right way and not in a cowardly way like Lewis...

Relax, the thread is ‘Usyk to retire?’ with a link and then some context as to why I’m asking the question.

Little wonder. Ali had about 3 times as many pro fights - all at heavyweight - and fought some of the all time great heavyweights over 15 rounds.

True, but he also doesn't have a win 1/10th as good as Manila or Kinshasa.

agreed. And I think no version of Usyk could beat ‘66-‘67 Ali.

just saying, he’s aging like fine wine.

Jesus Christ, guy, how many times does it have to be said that Paul is going to be an MMA fight? He's spent his life studying grappling and wants to show a bit of that.
