Was stunned when I found out he had passed away, way to young to be gone. He left his mark on the sport and will always be a beloved sporting icon in the UK. Say what you will about Hatton he put himself out there and tested himself against the best available from Tyszu to Pac to Mayweather, he could have easily just milked a belt and made boat loads of cash but instead dared to be great.

I have absolutely no issues in sharing the fact that I've shed some tears in the days since Ricky's passing and his funeral today is a difficult moment to go through.

    You'll be remembered.

Seen a lot of people within the game who were either friends with Hatton or had met him on numerous occasions and they all say he was a genuinely good guy who went out of his way to help them and always had time for everyone. They all sounded sincere too. This is all over the last few weeks prior to his funeral

Truly saddened here coming from a Pacquiao fan

I wanted to see all of Pacquiao’s opponents live until they were “old”.

Never met the man but listening to him on tv he always seemed like a down to earth relatable fella. Gone too soon

Yeah, there's a reason why he was so well liked and so few, if any at all, have a bad word to say about him

Death ruled as suicide, just as most of us feared it would be. Wish he had the help and support he needed. RIP Champ.

I followed him on Instagram and used to enjoy seeing his regular updates - training fighters, holding the pads, hitting the bag and still flashing some of that old footspeed and digs to the body, etc. It's incredibly sad knowing how much pain the guy must have been in, trying to move forward, but feeling hopeless on the inside. I don't know if there's anything after this life, but if there is, I hope he's in peace.

Watching those last videos of himself he posted on social media is really sad. Heartbreaking to hear it was suicide. Such a huge loss. RIP

Indeed very sad that Ricky was in such a bad place mentally that he took his own life.

Likewise sad for those close to him be that family or friends, questioning themselves about should they have done more, made contact with him or have seen the signs and got Ricky help.

Sadly often there is little others can do to prevent suicide, regrettably it a lot of times is impulsive.

Thank you for the great memories Ricky.
