Joshua as champion was the worst thing for modern boxing.

People seem to have little to no forgiveness for post-fight interviews. Not just the strong emotions and exhaustion a fighter must be feeling, there is also every chance they have a concussion, if not multiple and literal brain damage.

If you've ever been around people after a bad head knock, they can completely flip personalities and act quite differently.

Some of the things Joshua was saying don't make any sense, and with the way he was acting I wouldn't be surprised if he had low key brain damage.

Joshua is irrelevant in the world of boxing, he beat old past prime fighters and struggled with younger fighters, he had a small number of impressive victories and his power is overrated, it's a good thing his time has passed because no one should even watch him anymore...

You haven't presented one solid argument for your reasoning so far

Nothing needs to be added here, don't judge Joshua's quality by the rigged Highlights, watch his entire fights...

These things happen in HW boxing

Jack Johnson was knocked out by Joe Choynski and Klondike Haynes

Jack Dempsey was knocked out by Fireman Jim Flynn

Joe Louis was knocked out by Max Schmeling

Ali came within a whisker of being knocked out by Henry Cooper

Mike was knocked out by Buster Douglas

Lennox Lewis was knocked out x 2 by McCall and Rahman

Morrison was knocked out by Michael Bent

    Vitali was stopped by Byrd

Wlad was knocked out by Sanders, Puritty and Brewster

Except to Usyk. No man in the history of our species can claim to have beaten, knocked out or stopped a prime Usyk and guess what no man will ever be able to either

In fact, no man can even make the claim that they dropped a prime Usyk with a head shot. Incredible, eh?

AJ isn't the worst thing to happen to boxing he's done great to achieve everything he has amateur and pro: Olympic gold, World Amateur silver, two-time three-belt unified HW champ, excellent resume amateur and pro

Usyk is just the best thing to happen to boxing :deal:

You're all going to miss him when he's gone

    Gooseybumps indeed

Very delusional and stupid hot take here, but you're free to think what you will.

AJ was a pivotal part of an era where casual fans actually cared about heavyweight boxing, after not caring for nearly two decades.

He was also in some exciting fights, and took on some tough opponents, win, lose, or draw.

I’ve never been much of a fan of him, but this is just what it is.

You got that same energy for Duran? A dude who straight up walked out of the ring when he wasn't hurt? AJ got severely concussed, had no equilibrium, kept trying for multiple rounds, and then kinda soft quit against Ruiz. I've seen much worse from a plethora of fighters who weren't anywhere near as badly hurt.

I ain't one to bang on about race, but it really does seem to me that a lot of people's opinions in boxing are just straight up racism. Fury ducks, dives, and dodges every legitimate fight he can while embarrassing the entire sport of boxing with that pathetic performance against Ngannou, an MMA guy with zero boxing fights, and he gets a pass. AJ, meanwhile, fights anyone and everyone, loses a few times because that's what happens to every boxer ever when they fight anyone and everyone, and he's vilified and called a bum and a coward and a quitter and ****.

The only truly bad thing I ever saw out of AJ was his little rant post the Usyk 2 loss. And to be honest, it wasn't even that bad it was just ultra cringe. That dude got a new trainer, worked his ass off, and put on an all-timer of a performance against a dude who is going down as one of the best to ever lace up a pair of gloves and he came up short. He'd also been hit in the head 200 freaking times so I doubt he was thinkly 100% clearly. And all he did was congratulate Usyk, express his frustration with not being good enough, and then explain, rightly, that he started boxing extremely late and was lucky to have gotten as far as he had. Cringe? Absolutely. Bad guy ****? Not at all. Tank Davis catches less **** for being a woman beating piece of garbage. Fury catches less **** for being an unapologetic racist, sexist, and all around piece of **** because he excuses it all away with I'm bipolar! so that means I get carte blanche!

AJ was a very good HW who did amazing things for the sport and HW boxing when it was trying to dig itself out of a giant hole of sucktitude. For a guy that took up the sport as late as he did he well over performed. He put on a lot of entertaining fights and he didn't act like a complete bitchy diva like so many boxers of today do. He deserves way more respect than he gets.

Although Joshua has had some bad moments, like after the second Usyk fight, I think Tyson "Belly" Fury is by far the worse disgrace.
No, Wilder is worse than Joshua.

I'm actually of the opinion that Luke Partridge deserves the title of worst champion to happen to modern boxing, supreme bullshitter and one of the biggest hypocrites ever
