Joyce is there to be hit. Is he tailor made for Wardley ?

Joyce absorbs Wardley's shots and breaks him down. I don't think Wardley is the one to crack prime Joe Joyce, even though he is slow with his hands Joyce has underrated footwork that allows him to take shots better, this let him down against Southpaw Zhang, but against relatively inexperienced Wardley it will do just fine.

Wardley will be out of answers and demoralised by the juggernaught.

I say Joyce prevails with ease.

Wardleys overconfidence in his punching power, finding Joyce not succumbing to his punches and Wardley having no plan B.

I'm not too confident as Wardley does have massive power, but I'd say a prime Joyce by decision. Good fight though.

I can see a similar fight to Joyce v Dubois here against Wardley, where Joyce is effective enough with his jab and distance to break and tire Wardley down in the long-run.

If Wardley looks fantastic and beats Parker, then I could change my mind here. I just find Wardley quite basic technically and can defo be outboxed.

Joyce's chin is objectively good but Wardley does have serious power and his power may dent Joyce's chin.

The two worst interim champs in HW history. Joyce is the better one.

Wardley isn't Zhang. What makes Zhang's power so dangerous is he's a counter puncher. Wardley is too basic in his approach to catch Joyce with a shot he doesn't see coming. Prime Joyce breaks him down.

Can I just add that Chisora is very basic and he caught Joyce with a shot he didn't see coming and knocked him on the seat of his pants.

And I would say Wardley objectively hits harder than Chisora.

I wouldn't call the version Chisora fought Prime Joe Joyce.

Chisora also wasn't prime he was 40 years old with alot more wear and tear than Joyce and way more professional fights.

I still think Wardley could hurt Joyce.

I still think Joyce, Wardley looked very sorry for himself in the Huni fight, and I don’t think he was necessarily coming back into the fight until the big shot.
The standard Joyce fight, takes big shots early but maybe forces a late stoppage or an 8-4 kind of fight.

I think Joyce would still beat him today. Wardley can't fight off the back-foot.

I like Joyce but it is going to be a hard pick if you put him up against guys with heavy punching power. Look at the list of guys he beat. Those guys landed easily on Joyce but just didn’t have the power.
