"Not pulling the trigger is Dave Allen" sums him up tbh.

Makhmudov vs. Hrgovic would be a good fight of accurate punches...

Whats infuriating is that Makhmudov is boxing off of the ropes really well. He doesn't need to do all of this holding!

Point deduction was meaningless, Makhmudov is still grabbing hold if Allen gets close enough to punch him.

Mak neglects the body entirely, varying it downstairs would open things up for him a bit more but it's all upstairs!

    Round 1 Makhmudov 10-9
    Round 2 Makhmudov 10-9
    Round 3 Makhmudov 10-9
    Round 4 Makhmudov 10-9, close
    Round 5 Allen 10-9
    Round 6 Makhmudov 10-9
    Round 7 9-9
    Round 8 Makhmudov 10-9

Makh still jabbing. Allen walking into combos and uppercuts. Allen's output has dropped precipitously. Makh tees off, then Allen with a hook to the body. Makh turning him, Allen with a glancing overhand right. Makh to the forearms, Allen with some body work. Makh holds, Allen mauls a bit. Allen working the body. Allen hooking to the body, but they're weak.

"Just slow to sit on his stool, Makhmudov."

Mate, he literally does everything slow  You did not notice some moment of weakness showing.

I mean yeah he has a better chance than Allen. But I truly believe Joshua would KO either of them in 2 rounds max. I'd bet A LOT on a R1 KO

I think the ref is letting the holding go because Allen is pushing with his forearm and head. If Allen played up that the holding is very one sided he might get more points deducted.
