    Allen should retire and become a trainer or hopefully land a cushiony commentary/analyst job. Nothing left for him in boxing except more brain damage.

    Basically at this point referees are not allowed to take points for holding because in the past referees have not really taken points for holding.

    This sport is so damn broken.

    Allen did better than I thought he would, he clearly has been working hard in this camp to make it to the final bell and still be swinging.

    But I suppose the habits of a career are hard to change. I wish Allen had shown this drive and seriousness earlier in his career, he has so much more success when he actually lets his hands go, but seems to gas out quickly.

    Really frustrating to watch Allen refused to let his hands go anywhere near as much as he needed to, especially with right and left hooks over the top. He didn't move his head either. And he was often smothering his own work in close. Mak's holding definitely played a huge part but he had a smart game plan and actually boxed really well. He morphed into a 265lb American slickster: Using his range and lighter punches (in between the big ones) to keep Allen on the outside all night and then he tied him up and held like an octopus everytime Allen backed him into the ropes to prevent the shorter reach man from being able to fight at the only range he could win and ever so surprisingly Mak's gas tank was excellent

    If Mak was from the US as opposed to Russia they would be hailing that as a masterclass over in the US

    Current AJ vs Mak is a great fight. I think it ends in KO for sure, either one could get knocked out.
