Ben Whittaker Signs with Matchroom

Cheers fella.

Since unsubscribing to my monthly (4-5 years!) DAZN fee late June, I've become a bit unattached with what's going on.

I was sick of paying a monthly fee for F All in return unless it was on a PPV.

Can't even remember the last card I watched bar Crawford v Bivol since Eubank v Benn last March. I bet I'm not alone in this.

 

Wales have had plenty of tremendous fighters over the last century or so. Not bad for a small country. Arguably the greatest British fighter of all time, certainly of modern times.......Lauren Price

Not really interested in Whittaker to be honest

 

I could actually hear Adam Smith saying it as I read that. Well done.

 

Lauren Price is the greatest, hardest hitting boxer I have ever seen.

Moves like an overweight fly, stings like an impotent flea.

 

Whitaker is the archetypical hate watch for me; I would watch his fights against opponents who could knock him out based on pure spite alone. However, there is no way I would pay to watch Whitaker knock out more puddings; I would rather burn my notes and snort the ashes.

 

The Whittaker signing completes the set for Matchroom, along with Benn they now have the two most unlikable boxers in the country. At least they might be able to pull in some of the casual fans now.

 

Good news for Eddie but I think he should have signed with Frank Warren.

Also, I guess that's curtains for Boxxer.

 

Why have they got soldiers on the flyer?

 

They've got Molly McCann on the Whittaker show and no doubt Benn will be in his usual duty spot at ringside with Bellew. Almost wish I still had DAZN to be angry at the telly!

 

Looked at his resume. 19-1 with 13 KO's. Doubt he will cause Ben much trouble. Would be hilarious if he did though.

 

That’s a horrible card. Hearn will say it’s a Nxtgen but every show he does now is a Nxtgen. Really poor.

 

Can’t take any risks in their first fight promoting him, would be a massive embarrassment if he lost, or even struggled.
