Al Albert (the least of the Albert bros?), Sean O'Grady, two hours of fights, on a night with limited stick-and-ball sport competition... what a gem of a show. Did Jimmy Thunder fight on there a hundred times? Old Duran, Golota, Butterbean, Paz, Paez, so many fights. And occasionally a drunk Larry Holmes would show up and tell us how much he like his wine!

Those were the days, my friends.

What a great program. They made such a brilliant team

    Albert
"He needs two things in this fight."

    O'Grady
"Yeah, a left and a right."

    Albert
    "Ok, he needs four things."

Same here. I remember they would have specials where they would show the Main Events of past PPVS. I remember seeing replays Of Camacho-Manicini and other fights later in the 90s like Leonard-Camacho ect. It used to come on at 9pm here in California.

Yes there was some good fights, ESPN and others, the old Wide World of Sport too... different days for Boxing.

today we have Wilder Fury trilogy like stuff and they TELL us these are the greatest events in Boxing history, because, of course, we don't know.

For those of us who weren't Monday Night Football fans, this was a welcome mid-week break ... really liked the Albert/O'Grady team; periodically, Sean would demonstrate tactics that might be used in an upcoming fight. Sometimes he'd use Al as a partner, who hoped he was still on O'Grady's good side ...

Everybody that was there and witnessed it misses Tuesday Night Fights. Paez-Groves I (in tijauna, I believe) was epic. First look at Bernard Hopkins. It's really missed.
