Till knocks out a 40 year old stiff as a board Rockhold then calls out a 47 year old. Welcome to misfits what a clown show
Darren Till just starched a juiced-up, shopworn Luke Rockhold at Misfits, then channelled his inner Tony Bellew by calling out Carl Froch like he’s about to storm Nottingham. All he was missing was a Toblerone to boot into the crowd for the full Bomber vibe. Misfits is pure WWE-boxing chaos — the fights themselves aren’t scripted, but everything else (the promos, entrances, and hype) has pro-wrestling written all over it. If Allen or Bosh Jnr ever stepped into this circus, they’d look like Robinson and Ali reborn against that standard of competition. Still, can’t lie — it’s wild fun watching these lads swing for the fences.
I agree, but I’m not going to knock Joey Essex too hard — he paid for the PPV yesterday! I even stuck a bet on him because after hearing him talk I half-expected some PED, Conor Benn–Algieri type knockout. Instead, I was sweating the last three rounds as he was on Adam Smith shaky legs straight after the first. But as you say, conditioning and fundamentals can’t be faked. Even Salt Papi, who looked promising not long ago, showed that if you just keep the pressure on and avoid the odd counter, he runs out of ideas and gases. That said, it’s good entertainment for what it is. Till against any combo of Fury or KSI would at least be fun to watch. And honestly, I think even at 77, Froch would iron him out — unless he walked onto one.
I bought DAZN a couple of weeks ago for £14.99 month and there's **** all on! I thought it might save me paying PPV one-off price (and getting lumbered with '7 day trials' that need cancelling, or risk £25 a month), but at this rate it's a joke. There's no real boxing on DAZN at the moment.
I didn't see the fight but clearly the Till/Froch aftermath is all over TikTok on the DAZN + influencer accounts. Enjoy how staged it was with Froch just sitting eating something like an apple and no budging at all. Straight on his podcast with an update afterwards (that looked like it had been recorded earlier).
Wow, @Beale banned again… where’s Eubank Snr with the parliamentary procedure when you need him? It’s beginning to feel a bit Simon & Garfunkel in here — you can almost hear The Sound of Silence.
Why is Beale getting banned all the time ? He's a legend on this forum. He never says anything bad. Free the Eastside One !
I got banned once for mentioning a certain topic that Beale talks about in some form fairly often. Not going to cop a ban by bringing it up but wouldn't be surprised. Hope he's back soon.
This content is protected This is actually a decent card with Masoud v McGrail and McCormack v Walker and they’ve stuck it in Monaco. Not sure why the latter fight is so low on the card.
It’s decent. I’ve actually looked back at Monaco Matchroom shows in the last decade (2010s) on Sky sports and they were all (mens) 2/3 world title fights, European championships and big name 12 rounders. In comparison this is pitiful really. Shows where Matchroom are in 2025 and how easily pleased we are these days. Do we give thanks for Turki or is it all Turkis fault ? Surely with Top Rank currently up on house bricks, Hearn could have coaxed Uncle Bob to let him put a couple of his champions out .
Johnny Fisher in with a lad with only 1 KO to his name. Novelty acts like him are fine, but 1 decent punch in this and all the MR morons will be telling us what a prospect he is again
I don't understand the criticism about the choice of opponent..? Fisher was brutally knocked out in his last fight. It's only natural that Matchroom find a soft opponent for his comeback.
Not criticising the opponent choice, more just the fact he will probably look good against a total no hoper and we will then have to listen to all the MR nonsense again.
