lol, Merab starting to run circles around the division. UFC Bantamweight top 15 1 Sean O'Malley 2 Umar Nurmagomedov 2 Petr Yan 4 Cory Sandhagen 5 Song Yadong 6 Deiveson Figueiredo 7 Marlon Vera 8 Mario Bautista 9 Aiemann Zahabi 10 Henry Cejudo Yadong recently lost to Yan, but then he beat Cejudo. Figueiredo lost to Yan and Sandhagen back to back, but got a sweep upset win over #15 ranked Montel Jackson in his last fight. Vera lost his last two fights to O´Malley and Figueiredo Bautista is on a solid 8 fight win streak. Zahabi is on a 6 fight win streak. So basically Merab has beaten half of the division, and then 3 of the remaining 5 guys have recently lost fights to guys Merab has beaten. Only 2 guys who have no triangle theory linkage with Merab.
Fair point—MMAGURU (The MMA Guru on YouTube) has critiqued Merab's style as boring or grappling-heavy, especially after wins like vs. O'Malley. Opinions vary in MMA; some love his wrestling dominance. What's your take on his fights?
I think his fights are hit or miss, enjoyable when watching live, but there is not a lot of replay value there.
Chito Vera is such a salty ***** LOL. Surprised that was a split decision because the 1st and 3rd were clear for Zahabi
RDR quitting in his stool/corner throwing the towel in. Brilliant performance from Allen, fluffy most likely would have won if he didn’t have to pull out
Well that sucks. Waited however long for Tom to fight (more than a year I think?), for it to end like that. Eye pokes are one of a couple main drawbacks of mma. Not sure how they should solve it other than having a bag glove type covering. UFC is a billion dollar corporation though, the fact they havent solved this issue is a little embarrassing imo. Hopefully Tom can make a quick turnaround and I guess they book the rematch.
