I'd be a bit surprised if this fight had a rematch clause.

You don't need a deep resume to deserve a world title shot. Kabayel defeated Sanchez in a WBC title final eliminator in May 2024 and then defeated Zhang in February to win the WBC interim world title. The facts are there. Parker and Kabayel are the fighters most deserving of facing Usyk.

If Wardley wins I think the Usyk fight would be signed pretty quick compared to the Usyk vs Parker/Kabayel fights...

Realistically Wardley would have the WBO interim which is next in rotation so he would be next in line vs Usyk. Kabayel could have signed to fight Parker, or gone the WBO route if he wanted a more guaranteed title shot, but he got his WBC and his happy to sit on that.

I honestly don’t think anyone outside of this forum wants to see that fight. Kabayel is just not known enough to create any interest from the regular ticket buying fan.

I think Usyk should just retire, he’s already on borrowed time, he even starred in Dwayne Johnson’s recent movie, I don’t want to see him get randomly chinned by some NPC jabroni he’d absolutely torture a few years ago.

If Wardleys stars align (extremely unlikely) he could be the undisputed heavyweight champion in 2 fights.

    What a world.

Ultimately the only reason it's possible to be in that position with such a thin resume is because the division as a whole is thin... The fact a fighter as limited as Sanchez, who'd proven so little, was anywhere near an eliminator tells you that, too.

Parker's a lot more deserving than Kabayel - but Kabayel is currently well positioned.

I've reported the facts about Kabayel but obviously everyone has their own opinion about boxers. I don't share your opinion about Kabayel but I obviously respect it. Greetings.

@BubblesUK has a very big point in regards to the strength of the HW division that Sanchez was in literally a title eliminator, he was a complete hype job that proved absolutely nothing. Just how on earth did Frank Sanchez get a title eliminator in the first place?

I do rate Kabayel ability wise, he has a couple of good wins but he could defo be doing more, and seems to be going back to his old ways of fighting rarely and against second rate pretenders like Hysa for the interim. Its really bitterly disappointing.

None of them deserve it, the whole situation is laughable.
Pulev deserves it more than all of them based on his am career the fights he's taken and he doesn't either.

Basically nobody cares about any of these fights against Usyk.
People may have a curiosity but let's not pretend anyone is truly excited except rabid fans of one of these B fighters.

And now Sanchez will have another title final eliminator, this time for the IBF. These things are one of the reasons why I find the various rankings of the various organizations so unreliable.

    No.

Because IMO Kabayel should be getting a title shot before Parker anyway.

Dont think you see Usyk fight either, infact i think youve got more chance of the winner of Parker/Fabio fighting Kabayel for a vacant title. I think Usyks vacates before we see him in a ring again. He needs dance partners, vacating the belts allows others to boost their brand, bringing more money to the table to fight Usyk down the line. If its just 1 fight left, i wouldnt be surprised if Usyks willing to wait till hes 40 and allow the rest to battle it out.
