Lol October 2024 Itauma enters the WBA top 10 after beating the corpse of Mariuz Wach January 2025 Itauma jumps to #5 after beating Demsey McKean In June Itauma jumps to #2 after beating Balogun In September Itauma jumps to #1 after beating Whyte Not a single Itauma opponent has been ranked by the WBA. The WBA champions are: Usyk - WBA Super-Durper Champion Pulev - WBA World Champion Wardley - WBA Interim Champion Its all a joke. The organization is a cancer on our beloved sport.
stupid fight pulev will get beat up and hurt quickly. give itauma vianello or someone at that level not a should be retired pulev
Itauma doesn't need to wait months to fight someone like a very faded and washed up Pulev these days but the WBA are just simply mindless sheep at best. He is literally half Pulev's age but twice as quick and powerful. Itauma KO inside two.
Pulev is more than old enough to be Itauma's father. He'll be ridiculed if he fights another faded old boxer. He should fight some prime opponent, like Bakole, Dubois, or Kabayel.
There's no way to know. Only he knows -- if he knows. If he was born in some rural area of the Congo, think they were keeping great records back in the 80s?
Bakole looks to be a decade younger than Pulev who is age 44 and badly faded. Dubois or Kabayel would be good opponents for Itauma. And Adeleye is durable enough to give him more rounds than Pulev. Itauma has been fighting a lot of old men: Wach who is nearly 46, Balogun age 42, Whyte obviously has seen better days, and now he wants age 44 Pulev? Itauma turns 21 in a few weeks - let's not forget Mike Tyson won a world title at age 20, against a REAL opponent, not an old man, and defended it twice before turning 21. Floyd Patterson won a world title at age 21, and Muhammad Ali won a world title at age 22. https://www.oldest.org/sports/youngst-heavyweight-champions/
If they think he's the next Tyson then they should keep him more active and give him a few opponents that can test his stamina (Im thinking Franklin, Yoka, Wallin). Then quickly move onto someone like Chisora, Vianello, Hunter. Guys who can pose some risks but aren't at the top of the division. From there go for the contenders and then Usyk. Your not wrong it can be done (Tyson, Patterson, Louis) but they aren't keeping him busy enough IMO. Maybe he doesn't think he's ready yet? Warren (same promoter) didn't seem to have a problem throwing Dubois to some wolves.
