I mean, he’s gotta be up there right? Based on longevity alone, let alone having some pretty solid upset wins. This is what seemed like a pudgy no hoper that Vitali beat up on nearly 15 years ago. Did anyone expect him to be around the top 10 and be beating prospects and upsetting contenders today? Edit: And not to disparage him, but it must be mentioned: At some point in time, IIRC, he hooked up with David Haye and soon after had a pretty startling physique transformation.
His longetivity is very impressive and has to be praised. He's way better than his record suggests. And has been in loads of exciting fights.
I've followed his career almost since the beginning, I'm not sure how well known he was outside the UK during his first few televised fights but he's always carried a very unique persona and for sheer entertainment value, in and out the ring, I rank him up there. He's main evented a lot of shows, he's had a lot of big fights - a lot of close fights, some of which didn't go his way and as others have said you have to factor longevity.......if you exclude fitness, he's probably looked the same in his last 3 fights as he did when he fought Fury, Haye, Vitali.
h2h i think he gets his ass kicked here, but mfkr's got heart. am i being generous? This content is protected
Right alongside them. He's a decent gatekeeper who was a punching bag against the actual elite names he fought and got flatlined by a cruiserweight. They're a dime a dozen throughout boxing history, and Chisora is in the same bracket.
Sadly not very high. We love them but every generations have one and none are about to touch Langford and such. Tua did damn fine but was so short, like a spark. Chisora didn't do so well but was there forever. It's an argument at best
