Most be paying Yoka well but he's a bit of a busted flush. Uninspiring fight really. I did think more of his losses were stoppages so that's one thing I guess. Ituma badly needs some competitive opposition.
Yoka is the kind of opponent a young heavyweight should fight,,,,,, Itauma ,,get this done and then move along
Yoka the joka has never been ko'd so would be interesting to see if Itauma can do what Bakole couldn't (came close but ran out of gas)
Yoka was KO'd by Savon in 2, Omarov in 2 and even Demirezen in 5 in the amateurs. Three losses as a pro all as the A-side, scraped by last time against a no-name on a gift in Paris. Bakole's the only good fighter he's fought and he got battered, ran for 10 rounds, dropped twice. Yoka's a hypejob who has been exposed many times now, best days in 2016 for the two gift gold medal well behind him, will have zero confidence of an upset. Mutual opponent Boucetta went 11 minutes with Yoka, 90 seconds with Itauma.
That is an insult to Harrison because at least he won the EBU belt. Heck, he even managed to challenge for a world title, for whatever that is worth. Yoka´s biggest achievement is stopping Dave Allen.
Its quite impressive how poorly both boxers translated from the amateurs to the pros. Gone of the days of the generational talents of Lennox Lewis and Riddick Bowe as the best of the amateurs.
Dpnt forget Wlad. He was the last Olympic heavyweight champ to go on to establish himself as a top pro heavyweight champ
Speaking of Demirezan, where the hell did he go? Beat dominated Kownacki back in 22, and we haven't heard a damned thing from him since.
After losing to Bakole, Yoka lost to an ancient Carlos Takam. Also lost to Ryad Merhy, a small guy. Has done nothing special since then. There's no reason to believe he's improved at his age. Considering the hype Itauma is getting, this is a poor match. Tony Yoka is no better than Demsey McKean on paper.
