    Personally I don't see prime Holyfield ( 1988- 1993) beating a prime version of Ali.(1965-68)
Ali would be something Holyfield never seen before. A big man, with speed, who could move like a middleweight
and could do it for 15rds.
Look at all the problems past prime Dokes and Holmes gave to prime Holyfield.
Dokes gave Holyfield hell, mainly because of his hand speed and he was
not in the same area code in overall ability as Ali was at his best.
Love Holyfield, but he'd have a much better chance against a prime Joe Louis than
prime Ali. Hell he himself has said that.

I can see it but Ali would beat him 2/3 times at least

I simply disagree, that’s all there is to it. But fair if you went to dress the cooper situation up like that, either way H2H not much between Enry and Bert most would agree. Bert is also ar the least considered a harder puncher then even a Tyson so what happened simply happens sometimes? Holyfield did everything to make himself look bad against multiple opponents, he’s quite famous for it, like Sanchez he needs the right opponent or he’ll fight down. Beating Jirov is not beating Toney, Holyfields only weapon in a bout with JT would be volume… he lost to Qawi in there first bout by my card, Toney would not be stopped and he was much more of a skilful fighter then Qawi especially on the inside.

I did make a S post thread for said scorecard YEARS ago, I’d need to re-review it, it took watching that boring bout in slow motion to see just how little damage Holyfield was doing so I don’t blame the judges.

Any Top 10 Heayvweight has a big chance to beat every heavyweight ever.

No, he would NOT. Holyfield tried to knock him out early because he knew he was too tired to engage in a long bout. Mistake.

If anybody could beat prime Ali, and it would have to be an off night for Muhammad/Clay, it's Holyfield. Speed, grit, technique, heart- Holyfield had it all (but was overshadowed by the ol' hype train, Mikey)

I think Holyfield at his best is one of the more troubling Heavyweights for Ali.

The Holyfield against Bowe 2 who had bulked up and used in an movement firing off rapid combinations that version of Holyfield ? I think would give Ali all he could handle.

    Exactly.

Listing fighters that Ali did in fact beat and was not KO’d by is obviously not a logical way to go - and made worse when it calls in a pre and post prime Ali, and worse again, when it includes fights in which Ali clowned and/or wasn’t taking his opponent in all seriousness.

It’s like the overweighted Louis treatment re Billy Conn. Despite all the wins and successful title defences, the Conn fight “allegedly” proved that Joe was beatable - even though it was clearly not the best version of Louis and divorced from the fact that Joe actually did beat/KO Conn.

If they were so beatable, they would have been
found out to be so in their own time - but they weren’t.

But let’s give those fiddly facts a wide berth.

Best versions of Holy wouldn’t be a walk in the park for prime Ali - I agree upon that.

All in all, I think Ali still boxes out a clear decision but perhaps in a still a somewhat close fight.

Are you calling Holyfield a top 10 heavyweight?

Everything special about Holyfield came out of a bottle.

Doesn't matter how much Hgh Holyfield's on, Ali would land that jab all night and follow it up. Ali having a longer reach, being taller and faster while weighing more than Holyfield with a better skillset wins this.

If they did fight 15 it’d probably look like this… blue for Ali red for Holyfield.
