Apart from the obvious pick of Foreman, which guy's would prime Smoke have fared badly against?

Liston would be terrible for him. Big, strong, can counterpunch and possessing terrific uppercuts while knowing when to deploy them. When Joe gets past the jab the uppercut will be there waiting. Lewis would be no fun either, and nor would Tyson.

It's gonna be strong guys for sure, John.
Fighters that can really stun and hurt Joe back, even when he's coming full stream ahead at them.

Wow, lots of different replies, every skilled big puncher must be all wrong for Frazier, hence he's not as good as people let on. You have to question how good Ali really is when he struggled with this guy 3 times

Surely you've been here long enough now to know styles matter, and this is likely an extreme example. Frazier loves boxers. Norton was the same, he got blown out by Foreman yet caused Ali and Holmes problems.

Everyone assumes just because Foreman was able to manhandle Frazier,
every big heavyweight could do the same. And they could, if they fought
    like Foreman.
But that's the issue. Boxers like Lewis or the Klitckoes bros didn't use their physical advantages
the way Foreman did. They were much more stand-up, traditional European style, boxers that
would give Frazier the time and distance to work.
Not saying Frazier beats those two, but the fights would be much closer than some
imagine. (And I do believe he beats Klitchkoes, either one, they were not very good under pressure,
at least the type of consistent pressure a prime Frazier could apply)
But a prime Liston, or Bowe, would be terrible match-ups for Frazier. Both those men were excellent
in close, had the firepower to keep Frazier honest, and had overwhelming size advantages, (At
    least Bowe did,)

Mike Tyson = Two shorter ATG pressure fighters but Tyson is all wrong for him a faster starter, quicker, more explosive, Tyson bombs him out early.

Lennox Lewis = Frazier doesn't have a knockout right hand and he's simply too small for Lewis.

Sonny Liston = Too powerful too imposing and with better technique than Foreman it don't end well for Frazier.

Mike Tyson would be a bad night for Joe. Tyson hands were blazing fast and he put combinations together with his uppercuts being a big part of the arsenal.
I just think with Frazier bobbing down he will catch a clean uppercut sooner than later. Mike is one of the few that I believe could finish Joe.
It would be one thing to hurt Frazier, another to stop him. Tyson has all the boxes checked here. Explosive power in both hands, speed, aggression and finishing ability.

Lewis absolutely uses his size advantage when he can, he's a better version of Foreman
