    Speaking of impressive looking prospects. GB's own Taylor Bevan has caught my eye recently. Could be one of our best in the future along with Moses and Visioli

    Too early to know but he throws some lovely shots and packs a punch

    Honestly that whole sequence of events - with Lazizbek Mullojonov entering the Grand Prix tourney only to pee dirty on a doping test and get dismissed - in hindsight was the best thing for it. Mullojonov was the only combatant many of us had even heard of heading in, and his participation (and the disgraceful exit) brought in a lot of curious eyeballs. His absence leaves the heavyweight field open to some true parity, as he was the overwhelming favorite in the division.

    I was neutral coming into this, but hearing how Gomes is 55lbs smaller (doesn't look that way) and with how game he is, I think I'm cheering for him now.

    I believe the South African was the underdog in both his RO16 and Quarterfinal bouts as well. Certainly against Devon Young.

    Ahmed's output was lackluster, Gomes outworked him by a mile. Even though he got stunned late.
