Now that Danny “Swift” Garcia has made his farewell fight how would you evaluate his overall career? He beat Erik Morales twice and ultimately retired him when he knocked him out. Also stopped Amir Khan, Paulie Malignaggi, and Brandon Rios. Along the way he beat Zab Judah, Lucas Matthysse, Mauricio Herrera, Robert Guerrero, Lamont Peterson.

Garcia throughout his career was someone who was very polarizing but ultimately he did have a string of good names on his resume. Would you consider him as a HOF worthy fighter?

I am trying to be polite here, but he is an overachiever, and one who benefited a lot from favorable scoring by the judges.

A pretty limited fighter no doubt about it but he made the most of what he had. His left hook was especially very effective.

The Mattysse win was probably his best and then Khan. While he could beat bums and scrubs, he would get gift decisions over journeymen and just outright lose against upper level opposition while at times giving a ***** made effort(Lara, Spence fights) A tad over rated and babied by Haymon. I'll be glad if someone KO's him into the sunset.

Very successful. He made a lot of money, smart investments, helped his family out, no long term damage and had a HoF career while also being the best fighter of his generation in his natural weight class, can’t really ask for more than that.

He's one proving me wrong plenty times. Mainly started with the win over Khan.

He proved me wrong twice with Amir Khan and especially with Lucas Matthysse at a time when most thought Garcia would get massacred. Garcia not only showed a great chin but also some good boxing skills as well. Only wish we got to see a rematch between Garcia and Matthysse. I'm still convinced that Lucas would have done much better without the closed eye.

    Very good.

I would rate Danny Garcia in the same category as guys like Marlon Starling, Lloyd Honeyghan, Milton McCrory, Carlos Palomino, Pipino Cuevas, etc., even though he arguably beat better fighters than nearly all of them.

Very good fighter. As for the Hall of Fame, maybe in 20 or 30 years. Lots of people ahead of him.

Not someone who is in the superstar category, but better than most who came before.

That era that has now passed wasn't the greatest junior welter/welterweight era in history, but it was pretty damn good compared to most.

Above average........................not HOF level though, not even close tbh. He did good, kinda overachieved in his era but he's not a guy you can't take a put in any era and he thrives.

    B- career.

His career as a whole was very good. He beat Khan and Lucas as a big underdog, and went on to be one of the best Welters of his time. I just think maybe if he ditched his dad as a trainer maybe he would have found more success towards the later end of his career.
