I'm surprised these cards don't push some decent women's fights. There's a few good match-ups out there, that would generate interest and be entertaining, and you'd imagine not cost too much in purse

and why don’t big names without titles do easy tomato can fights regularly like they used to? In the late 80s / early 90s, Foreman would knock out some journeyman every month or two while waiting for a real fight. Send AJ, Dubois, and Bakole in against uber drivers every couple of months while they wait for real fights. Fans would still love to see them doing it on an undercard.

i guess not applicable to AJ and Dubois, but very applicable to Bakole — Foreman understood that knocking out nobodies regularly for tiny purses leads to big purses. He was happy to take very little for a few easy nights knowing it would help him get the real fights and the real purses. Bakole right now should be out there on any undercard he can find against any random journeyman brave enough to get into a ring with him.

I think todays fans and media would give contenders the business for fighting true journeymen. They are already bad enough when a fighter beats someone with a nice record who "hasn't beaten anyone". People don't care about winning streaks anymore.

Parker did this for a little bit with the Django fight, took the fight for a "small" pat cheque against a local fighter in Australia.

He easily beat the guy of course, but he credited the activity with his success in the Wilder fight.

Big fan of Joe but absolutely refusing to pay for this out of principle, will catch the highlights the next day, that undercard is woeful, no idea what Bricktop is thinking with this one as PPV.

I understand if AJ or Dubois did it these days. But Bakole? I think he could get away with it and have fans like it. Pick the opponents right -- you want guys who aren't known for being quick on their feet. Bakole will look like a monster against journeymen level talents who can't run.

I got a DAZN subscription last month in August, because in July at the Usyk-Dubois fight I'm fairly certain Turki and the DAZN chief made it sound like PPV was coming to an end around October time.
This is a terrible rip-off if they're going to charge subscribers extra.
It's not even a first-tier fight in the division. Parker v Usyk would be, but against Wardley? Nah.

..... then again, when DAZN was launched a few years ago they claimed they weren't going to be doing PPVs at all.
So i don't know why i believed it, even with the wealthy Saudi .

This is a really bad undercard, the only quality fight is the main fight...

The single somewhat interesting fight on the undercard of Saturday's PPV is off.

    https://ringmagazine.com/en/news/lewis-edmondson-ezra-taylor-off-queensberry-seeking-replacement

The Ring has learned that this weekend’s fight between British light heavyweight champion, Lewis Edmondson (11-1, 3 KOs) and Ezra Taylor (12-0, 8 KOs) has been cancelled.

It is believed that Edmondson suffered a hip injury during the final stages of training, leaving Queensberry currently searching for a replacement opponent for 31-year-old Taylor.

Edit: the replacement will be Steed Woodall 20-3-1

Dazn has become a rip off. All the good fights you have to pay extra for.

The event saved by the main fight should definitely be more favorable.
