He was in his first amateur bout at age 7. As a child he was consistently beating older kids in tournaments. Sadly, he did a long stretch in prison after being caught with a large quantity of cocaine with intent to traffic. What a sad waste of boxing ability, he could have made more money boxing than selling coke.
December is shaping up to be a good month for heavyweights... in addition to Chisora vs. Miller, we have Pulev vs. Gassiev, Ahmed Krnjić vs. Kevin Christopher Ramírez in the WBC Grand Prix finals, and Itauma vs. either Zhāng, Adeleye or Hunter.
No chance Itauma steps in with Zhang. Almost certainly will be Adeleye or the lethargic inactive Hunter(assuming it's even 1 of the 3)
Good fight as would the Zhang match. This might be a bit more competitive and fan friendly. Would be a war of attrition(Miller probably comes out on top) Chisora could beat Zhang but he's probably not escaping the early rounds.
The wbc heavyweight grand Prix has a David vs Goliath final with the cruiserweight Ramirez from Argentina vs.the massive heavyweight krnjic
I will be rooting like hell for the little Argie. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/ahmed-krnjić-vs-kevin-christopher-ramírez.742969/
An interesting article was published by The Ring magazine, where Oleksandr Usyk’s team director Serhii Lapin stated that, at the moment, five more fights are being considered. He also mentioned that the story with Tyson Fury is “closed,” and that the next fight is expected to take place in early 2026 against the winner of Parker vs. Wardley.
Off topic but related to the grand prix. I know you've been watching.....Lancelot Proton de la Chapelle......that's his real name?!?
