AJ is a significantly better boxer than Shavers was. He hits hard too and Shavers didn't have a good chin himself. I'm taking AJ by early stoppage.
AJ clears the following 70s guys; Quarry, Patterson, Norton, Shavers, Young, Mathis, Bonavena, Chuvalo… basically all the guys not named Holmes, Ali and Frazier.
In a “real” career yeah he picks up losses like everybody else, it’d be a good bout with GF 50-50ish not as much dog in him as Lyle but he’s no worse, a lot better really.
Both men had a lot of power and neither were great at taking it on the chin. But Joshua in my opinion was a better boxer and had the advantages of height reach and probably stamina. I think it’s likely that he gets to Earnie first and finishes him.
Shavers defeated the elite fighter Norton and would have no problem beating the average fighter Joshua...
One post above yours I answered this, prime for prime he smashes in a “real” career he finds a way to lose.
