I sort of see Parker methodically boxing Wardley and staying out of danger

I'm not sure how well wardley takes a punch. That determines whether this goes the distance

    I would pay for a miniq-wardley fight :D

Parker says he will come in around 257 or 258 lbs

    But full of muscle

I'd add a couple pounds to that, Parker always seems to undercall his weight by about that.

I think I said 256lbs, so not too far off the mark.

Do you know where he said this?

Problem with that is, that Usyk would still be 4:1 favorite over parker. I think parker is just not interesting from a legacy and money perspective, sadly. Same for kabayel...

That's why the fans have to put in a little pressure to get those fights.

But still, calling Usyk a ducker would be ridiculous after his career so far. It's not like canelo avoiding the mega payday against benavidez where everyone was screaming for it and it could have been sold very well with benavidez's size and style.

I feel that with the top fighters, turki seems to mostly go for name recognition, basically he seems to have a "brand mentality" mixed with a preference for english opponents to get the british fans.

With fury and Joshua he is like someone buying ferrari no matter how good the current quality is, just because the brand sounds good.

Someone else might look into what other manufacturers with less of a name can outdo ferrari in different dimensions.

All in all, I don't think he always makes the matchups boxing hardcores would want. Thankfully he seems to have an honest interest somehow, though.

Bivol beterbiev was made because of him. That is his greatest strength. Paying for the great matchups, where everything but the money is already right.

This fight will display levels in boxing, Parker is a more superior fighter in nearly every aspect.

If we follow that logic then Lewis would never have fought Vitali which turned out to be one of his best wins. Parker is a much better name legacy wise than Vitality was when he got the Lewis fight, and they are both similar ages.

And even though he beat him, people still discredit Lewis for not taking the rematch, imagine what would happen to Usyk's legacy in the future, if he doesn't fight Parker and Parker goes on to be champ again.

Plus Parker was an even bigger underdog against Wilder and aren't we glad that fight happened. The reality is that these fights need to happen as no one knows the future.

I think Parker has the reputation in Turki's mind of being a "spoiler" he ruined Joshua vs Wilder, he survived against Zhang and then didn't even have the decency to lose to Dubois like he was supposed to.

So in car terms, Parker is the 2005 Peugeot partner van that is always in the way, drives 40mph in the fast lane etc. At least in Turki's mind.

You’d think Parker would have gained some credit for jumping in with Bakole and saving the show.
Turki needs to forget about his favourites and emotions and be professional.

He lacked a bit of definition vs Bakole, I think he should come in around 10 pounds lighter for this one and just jab Wardley's head off.

I just see the face off between Parker/Wardley and what a pleasure it was to see two fighters speaking like gentleman without needing "fake beef" acting like thugs.
