I think he needs to be brought back slow. Take on guys that he can beat. Apply new techniques while doing it. That way he gains confidence in himself at the new things the trainer teaches him. He definitely needs to get his mind right before taking on top 10-15 guys anytime soon. 10-12 fights before stepping up again. Have 4-5 fights a year just plowing through guys.

He is returning in December in Australia I reckon it should be against a soft touch and then spend 2026 with another 3 rebuilding fights before having another crack in 2027.

If Tim were around in other eras where there was tougher and generally younger competition at the top, I would probably advise him, being 30, to retire

Seeing as we are in an era of boxing where skill sets are low and old men can be top competitors, I like the idea of him getting a new trainer and giving it another go. I believe he has untapped potential, and can be much better than he has shown.

Many greats have had disappointing patches in their career and Tim seems like a tough old school Warrior type to me. Best to him!

We've seen the wonders Andy Lee has worked with Joe Parker. Will be interesting to see what Diaz can do with Tim.

Yeah if the rebuilding goes well I wouldn't count him out to pick up a belt at 160

Yep and Parker took a pretty bad beating from Joyce and has managed to recover so hopefully Tim can do the same. The lads down under are a different breed.

Hope he comes back better. But those losses were brutal.

Not sure how well that would serve him though, even if nothing changed he pummels 10-15 guys, hell even 8-10 guys. He could be a spent force. Can he string some wins together? Yeah. But can he do that at the top level? I dunno. 1-3 in your last four at a certain level is tough to overcome.

My logic is, take on soft touches while learning from a diffrent trainer. That way, he gains confidence in himself and trust in the new trainer. But hey, what do I know.
