I mean sure it's up to you but using that logic there must be alot of boxing title reigns you don't recognise? With Dubois being the most recent

 

If we only recognized the lineal reigns boxing would be a way healthier sport.

 

It should be a GIVEN that strippings don't count towards 2x,3x etc. You shouldn't even have to make this thread. People should just know.

The whole undisputed thing was pulled out of a marketing students ass. People act like this is a time honored tradition. It isn't. Can mean whatever you want it to mean.

Usyks had 3 interim champions and Dubois in a way his titles been the most disputed. But no hes undisputed.

I agree, Dubois wasn't a "unification". He voluntarily gave up one belt, Dubois won said vacant belt, then Usyk just reabsorbed it. And to make matters worse, it was a guy he beat before. Neither fights were all that competitive.

I think it would be a bigger deal if someone like Kabayel or even Parker got the belt and had some solid title defenses before unifying with Usyk. Dubois' entire career is full of asterisks and question marks. And tbh, I don't blame Usyk since the sanctioning bodies are notoriously pedantic, greedy, and stupid, but beating Dubois a 2nd time should historically be viewed as more of a title defense if anything.

 

It would have been better if they had stripped Usyk of the belt an then he had go an get if back by beating the guy that they gave it to. That better than him just giving the belt back an then in his very next fight fighting the guy for the belt that he voluntarily gave up.

 

Sir, I do not care - at all - how much money NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, Boxing, Soccer/football, Tennis, Golf, etc., athletes earn. The Zuffa league, ran by Dana White and funded by Turki, will greatly improve the observer aspect of boxing and is actually BETTER for the LARGE MAJORITY of boxers because the league improves pay for the non-elite fighters AND improves matchmaking so that boxers actually fight best opponents instead of "other side of street" nonsense.

Yeah, thank GOD for Turki and Dana White. And those peeps that dont like Dana also love Haymon - who does the same damn thing but he does it for "his own" and that fanbase LOVES him. Hypocrisy is hilarious

 

Yeah, like most things in boxing, it's all a bit silly.

 

All you need to know is that Usyk is the undefeated, undisputed, lineal / linear champion of the world at Heavyweight, and before that he was the undefeated, undisputed, lineal / linear champion of the world at Cruiserweight.

The number of times doesn't actually matter.
