This is an unexpected pleasure. I'm not the biggest fan of Darren Barker as a commentator but as a podcast interviewer he's actually not bad - just tees up a question based on some notes he's carrying and lets the fighter talk. It's not quite Tris Dixon level but fighters talking to other fighters (as opposed to handheld camera muppets) will always have a level of entertainment. The recent episode with Ricky Hatton is a hard watch but you should try if you haven't.
Thought I would dive head first into the Hatton podcast and it was excellent. A genuine humble man telling it as it was without any spin or lies. RIP Champ
The episode with Calzaghe is decent too, similarly honest although without the tragedy attached. You can tell Barker and Calzaghe go back a bit in their drinking eras (and recoveries) but it was interesting to hear how it started.
