Agreed but Wardley has game changing power to turn around a fight with 1 punch unlike Joyce.

I rate Joe Parker, love the guy in fact, but I hope this might make a dent in the fantasy of him being a "technical" boxer. Skipping around in circles while the likes of Zhang or Wilder clomp slowly after you is not "technical". It was only a wet week ago he learned to throw a backhand without falling in behind it. Parker is mobile, hard as nails, and can punch hard enough to make it count. Those are his attributes, and they are good ones. But he is no technician, and never was.

I hope the WBC will order Usyk to defend his title against Kabayel. Kabayel is someone who deserves his shot, and is very good. I like Wardley, but it feels wrong for him to fight for the heavyweight undisputed title.

I thought J-Park keeping his left low vs someone who has a huge fast right hand was a really risky tactic too. Fabio was actually cute defensively with a lot of J-Park's bigger hooks he was rolling with them and getting his gloves up in time to block more than it appeared he was

Feel happy for Fabio and simultaneously bad for J-Park. Fabio is tough as old boots, has serious speed and power, a granite chin and a huge heart and even though J-Park has way more experienced the other side of that coin is he has way more miles on the clock and Fabio is a lot fresher

Screw the belts, bring on Wardley vs Kabayal.

Usyk either gets old overnight or obliterates any of the valid contenders.

I absolutely hate it, as a Brit. You know the refs are going to jump in early, I could say so much, I’m so angry right now and wish Parker and his team were not respectful about it.

Parker looked SLOW... Already before the fight I was wondering why he would bulk up like this against someone who isn't a big lump-foot.

Even though the stoppage was awful, Wardley looked sharp, explosive and technically sound with good head movement.

Why Parker didn't utilize the left hook more is an enigma...

The stoppage was a bit early BUT Parker must know that if he stands and takes shot after shot with no response, the ref is likely to stop it.

If he wanted the fight to go on he had to fire back, and not just stand there like a human punching bag.

He landed a right to drive Parker back to the ropes and then landed a hook. Didn't connect with anything that followwed.

Stoppage was early (it's Foster), but Parker still seemed in rough shape. It's Froch-Groves 1, as opposed to Calzaghe-Manfredo.

No offense but Brit refs are ****ing awful at calling stoppages. They need to get more training.

Joyce got fed an unwinnable matchup, tbf. He could have wreaked havoc among the glamour fighters before getting that mandible cracked, but Zhang took away that fun.
