Pleased for wardley but poor stoppage.

If the ref was gonna stop it should have been in the previous exchange, wardley had almost punched himself out by the time it was stopped. 5 more seconds and he would have totally gassed.

 

When we talk about heavyweight boxing that’s what you want to see. A shootout between two big lumps with spite and intent behind every punch. For me nothing else in sport beats watching that sort of fight. You just can’t take your eyes off it for a second.

 

It seems to be the case where there is a fracture to the eye area that fighter paw at the eye, Dubois, brook, Saunders and now Parker.

 

At this point, I think Moses’ next opponent should — and needs to be — Howard Foster.

Honesty thought Parker had it in the bag until the last 30 seconds of the 10th, when he started exchanging with Fabio.

 

Just left the event. Awful show overall but the main event was decent. My thoughts are it felt like a **** stoppage live. How did it look on TV?

 

Would like to see them fight again or Wardley against Kabayel next.. Would prefer this to a Wardley Usyk fight. Would be an easy night work for Usyk against Wardley and a waste of one of his last fights.

 

To be fair everyone has gone the distance with him but Parker lost against him definitely

 

Just listening to Itauma here if we had to matchmake the most explosive shootout boxing fight possible right now it would be Itauma v Wardley. Absolute carnage that would almost certainly end in one round.

 

It was great that like it’s the fight of the year for me so far if you forget about Crawford canelo, it was better than Benn eubank the offspring

 

Wardley is the man all the media should be getting behind no

I think he deserves the Usyk fight. At the very least it will capture the imagination of the British public all desperate for Wardley to get his Rocky moment.

I also have Usyk winning comfortably but it would have me on the edge of my seat as the bell goes.
