    Just like AJ (Ruiz/Dubois).

Parker seems to have a rough time with Virgos too.

Both Joyce and Wardley are Virgos. :sisi1

Should Parker have taken a knee? Or would that 10 seconds or so benefit Wardley more.

I mean if you compare it with the Froch vs Groves 1 stoppage for example where Howard Foster was the referee aswell.

It's not even in the same ballpark as Wardley vs Parker which is atleast can be called an objectively a fair stoppage even if some may think its a bit quick.

Unlike Froch vs Groves 1 where he just randomly stopped it mid fight.

I wouldn't say that, I didn't have that big of an issue with that stoppage either. Yes, it was technically terrible, but the writing was on the wall and Groves was starting to fall apart. Froch doesn't tire, it was only going to get FAR worse from that point.

To be fair, the pair of them had nothing left. The barrage that ended it: five of the six punches didn't land, and the last one—Wardley was clearly gassed out and his punches were losing power every time he threw one. It was an odd time to stop it. Parker's eyes weren't glazed over, and he immediately protested it. The reason I think it was such a bad stoppage was the lack of clear shots that landed and the fact that Parker wasn't seriously hurt; he was tired, but not seriously hurt. Fair play to Wardley for going for broke, but that was classic Foster shadiness.

A well thought out an rational response. I salute you.

    But you're still a pansy.

Love the effort Wardley put in, and It did look like the writing was on the wall with more than half of the round remaining, but I just hate the stoppage more and more upon rewatching it, several times.

    This requires an immediate rematch.

Yeah, it's the fact that Wardley was on his last gulp of air just punching himself out to exhaustion which makes the stoppage extra terrible.

Parker deserves a rematch. If Parker gets a rematch (which isn't very likely), then I assume Kabayel would be the next in line for Usyk.

He could never "clearly" outbox them though. Joe is/was supremely tough, athletic, and often savvy. Never technical. We saw that in local fights down under when he couldn't even provoke, identify and punish a pattern against very shabby opposition. Put him in against world level destroyers though, and now he is a problem. An iron chinned, iron willed, mobile, fit, true heavyweight who can punch going backwards as much as forwards is hell of a problem for a walk forward textbook backhand puncher. The other guys though, the guys they knocked out, have every chance, because they don't fight down the line and don't rely on ending the guy with the first clean shot..

Cabio Fraudley, they called him the king of early stoppages. I call him king of early stoppages for different reasons.
