Parker vs Wardley was a great fight and I'm really happy for Wardley getting his big win.

But I don't think there's any real stand out Heavyweights atm and Wardley is not in Usyk's class and it wouldn't be that competitive nor does it add much to Usyk's legacy IMO.

I wish he would retire. He is the best of his era. Lets move on and discover who is the best of the new era.

lol at you lot who thought Parker could trouble Usyk. What was he going to do? Outbox him? Knock him out when he couldn’t knock out a wank? When was his last KO over a live opponent, if ever? 44 year old Botha?

also lol at sleeping on Itauma who would clean up Kabayel

If Usyk wants to continue fighting as boxing fans we should want to see how far he can take it.

He should fight Wardley, it's an interesting matchup because of the asymmetry between Wardley the power puncher and Usyk the technician. Wardley could conceivably be the hardest puncher Usyk has ever faced, why would we not want to see it?

Stylistically I'd agree but I feel Kabayel needs to beat one more contender before Usyk.

Part of me wants to see Usyk go out with a bang with one last major fight. His legacy is already amazing, but another great win can cement him as a lock in for the top 10 of his division. Plus, I just like to see greys fighters challenge themselves.

On the other hand, he's in a unique position similar to guys like Marciano and Lewis who virtually cleared out the biggest names in their era with some rising young stars on the horizon. I also kind of don't want the future of boxers such as Kabayel, Moses, Wardley, etc getting derailed because they were rushed into an Usyk fight they weren't ready for and the rest of their career now doesn't look all that impressive. I guess if Usyk retires, the next generation can fight it out over the vacant belt without the passing of the torch. We've already got so many potentially great matchups even without Usyk and the division can move on and he can spend time with his family.

I agree. He's coming along great, but needs at least one more good match to fine tune his skills and mature. The talent and technique are there for sure.

Would you describe Kabayel as an inside fighter? A boxer-puncher? Something else...?

And who do you think Kabayel should fight next should Usyk decide to keep the belts? Hrgovic or Dubois would be decent challenges and would keep him honest.

Kabayel is a bit more versatile than given credit for but I’d say he is at his best as an inside fighter/swarmer. He is by far the best body puncher in the whole division. Problem Kabayel has against Usyk is Usyk’s footwork is too good and will run and box effectively all fight.

If not Usyk, then it would have to be another contender at least. Hrgovic and Dubois are good shouts, even Wardley or Parker too. A shame Kabayel is apparently fighting a nobody in Hysa next.

I agree, but I'd also hate to see people start claiming that Usyk is running from Wardley as he's supposed to be up next.

Makes me think Kabayel is smart sitting on his mandatory.

Krassyuk still feels very strongly about Usyk retiring and I agree with him. Given everything he's accomplished, earned, his standing, and his age he really should just bow out whilst at the top.

Retirement or Wilder. There is some historical value to get the dosser on the record.

    Option A:
    Retirement, $0

    Option B:
    Kabayel, $50M
    Wardley, $50M
    Fury, $100M
Paul, $150M (if Usyk takes a dive $250M)
    Total: $350M (or $450M)

One must be out of his mind to choose Option A.
