Stop. Parker just got done throwing a 3 punch combo went back to the ropes, were none of Wardley's shots landed, them the ref jumps in and stops it. Please, bad stoppage.

I asked my partner and they said that Parker was "knocked out twice" when the ref stopped it, so they were ok with the result though un-happy. I want to caveat with the fact that my partner normally only watches boxing for the ring walk.

I was yelling at him for most of the fight. Why are you getting into a firefight with an iron chinned dude who hits like a truck?! That's the LAST dude you get into a firefight with. You box. You engage, score points, disengage. Repeat. It's boring, it's stinking it out, but Parker was absolutely 100% capable of winning via this route.

 Any Brit on this forum could become a world champion in any code of combat sports. We all have every ingredient needed to become so. I ain't gonna lie, squire, you and I, a little more than most of our countrymen

Fabio rolled pretty darn well with the punches too. You could see Ben Davison had drilled some good technical strategies into Wardley's game for this fight.

But Fabio was open to the left hook all night, and it's weird why Parker didn't utilize that tactic more...

The stoppage was slightly premature, but, Parker has nobody to blame but himself. He was lying there helpless. The truth is that he proved once again that he is just not championship material. Neither is Wardley (Usyk will likely beat him 11-1 or worse). But, at least Wardley has a fighters heart. Parker has genetic strength, but, that doesn't make him a fighter.

To be clear -- Parker is a former WBO champ. He's championship material (or was) because he did it.

WBO with rare exception has always been garbage. Parker has never been the true "Champ." He has never even had an argument for top 5 in the division.

I did not love the stoppage, but I understand it. I was FAR more upset to learn post-fight that one of the judges had Parker up by SIX rounds going into the 11th round.

Saw the stoppage now. I dont think it was all the bad tbh. Parker was hardly fighting back and ate a few of the wild flurries. But i think he still should've been given the benefit of the doubt

Pathetic stoppage by the British ref. It's why you can't have a British ref in fights like this. Parker was taking a lot but Wardley was gassed. I actually think Wardley is the easier fight for Usyk.

I’m pretty sure it’s run towards a gun & run from / evade a knife.
