I resent him for never having that killer instinct to knock out opponents, he doesn't have elite Power but he's certainly big enough to knock someone out, most of his wins are on points...
You are being too hard on your countryman. Hrgovic had what it takes to be a heavyweight champion, he was getting lots of stoppage wins a few years ago. But because he was from a small country, he was treated unfairly. Everybody avoided him for years, and promoters refused to give him the fights he should have had. Then, he was unfairly headbutted to a TKO by Dubois as the crooked Queensberry referee watched.

He had enough power against journeyman level chins, but that's not always going to translate against even fairly mediocre championship level chins. Hrgovic's problem is he's too average at too many things... He has a great chin, but he doesn't quite have the power to knock out top guys, whilst also not quite having the stamina to win decisions over 12 despite being decent before he gasses. He probably could've improved that stamina more and made a decent points fighter, but it might be too late now.
Hrgovic is good fighter. He got almost everything to be top Hw (size, skills, great Chin). His power looks not soo great last times but I guess it because he often try to hard to deliver strong shoots. But... He waste lot of times when lot of boxers dont want fight with him. First Hunter waste his time, later other dudes whos dont want fight for IBF mandatory with him. He not make progress in this time and he lost this years. And this fella is overconfident and this make him lazy I guess. He should make progress and have bigger ambition. He should work more on his jab and footwork and defence. But overall he is good Hw.
He would have better power in the right if he did SOMETHING with his left. He has neither a quality jab, or a useful hook. Ironically, he did a little better in that regard in his last fight, but if he spent a long amateur and professional career developing some sort of change-up, that right would do better.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if he would do more with his left, it would open up some possibilities for his right hand. The old adage in boxing is that you don't see the one that gets you, and everyone looks right at Hrgovic's right hand, because that's all he uses. This really confuses me because he was sold as someone who was a great amateur, so I would have thought that having an educated jab, and mixing in 3-4 quality hooks a round would not be much to ask. But everything he does with his left looks half-hearted. He looked liked he was trying to correct this a bit against Adeleye...or maybe I just imagined it. Hopefully it is not to late. But I just really think there would be more opportunities for his power if he hadn't regressed so badly coming into the pros. POST SCRIPT: Lol, didn't realize I already said it!
If he was as weak as described in this thread, Fury would have picked him for his return. I expect Hrgo to hold a WC belt at his first opportunity to win one. Unfortunately people will dunk him though
Depends what Fury thinks he has left... As much as he should be able to outpoint Hrgovic every day of the week, the only way he could potentially lose is on points and that means he needs to be in decent enough condition - if Hrgovic could pull it off, losing on points is almost more embarrassing for Fury because that's his raison d'etre. I don't think Hrgovic will ever win a title unless he can find a very soft champion (Martin or Stiverne type of "lucked into it" champ) and they decide he's a safer opponent than one of the guys who brings more money... I don't think it's likely he ever winds up in a title fight he can actually win.
