Thanks for the commentary on here, last night. I refused to pay the PPV given the woeful undercard.

Just watched what's on Youtube, and wow, quite some battle.
Parker has nothing to be embarrassed about, he truly gave it everything.
But after watching it, Parker trading with Wardley, like others have said, was complete madness.

But even if Parker had boxed cleverly and elusively I think Wardley likely would've still prevailed. Wardley is a beast, and it's easy to see he has yet to meet anyone that has truly made him feel out on his legs. That massive head of his is like an iron bowling ball.
Even if Parker had boxed on the outside throughout, I suspect Wardley would have ploughed in, in the last rounds, dragging Parker into a slugfest, and getting the KO.

Can't see Wardley beating The Cat, but he's on another level entirely.

Of course, but not necessarily those bands. I really like the Doors, The Who and King Crimson but don't love them, The Kinks are decent but I'm not very fond of Jethro Tull. I'm more of a Creedence, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Allman Brothers, Stones, Fleetwood Mac and Cream guy.

I know what you're capable of, squire

Seen it with thine own eyes

Can 100 men beat a gorilla?

    Maybe, maybe not

But it would only take 2 men if those men were you and I and God help that poor gorilla if we did set about it

Not the best stoppage ever, not the worst stoppage ever.

I dont agree with the stoppage, but it was obvious to me that the referee was going to stop the fight if parker didnt fire anything back. What he was throwing back was clearely insufficient. One of those stoppages that is not clear but if the referee calls it, you can't say anything.

Thanks God I'm not a gambler. If I made my life by gambling on boxing I would have to live under a bridge.

You didn't ask me, but - their first three studio albums (or four releases, if you include their live at the Fillmore record) are iconic rock n roll staples. Their self-titled debut, Idlewild South, and Eat a Peach are mandatory listening for any classic rock fan. They were still good - and prolific - for a long time after Duane's passing, but it was never quite the same.

The official cards all rightfully had Parker ahead.

    98-92, 96-94, and 95-95

Days like yesterday make me wish I was a gambler. I picked Wardley for the upset and another huge upset earlier in the day. I could've made some serious ****ing bank parlaying those two

Damn good fight, nice to see a fight that was well worth the wait and even exceeded the expectations of many :ggg

Last few thoughts about the fight

Hats off the wardley. I really underestimated the extent of his power and chin but it was on full display here. I do wonder how wardley would do against elite heavyweight power but he showed he will swing until he's out and not go down easily.

Parker. ah man. hurt to see that. early stoppage? i'd say so but i've seen worse honestly. i'd still love to see him fight. plenty of good fights to be made but this gotta be the last run now. Come in lighter, do the things you do well. you do not have foreman or wilder power.

I remember around the time the dubois & parker fight was announced Parker did an interview where he said he bulked up for what was supposed to be the zhang rematch and that he was planning to come in lighter for the dubois fight. roll around fight night against dubois (that would end up actually being bakole) he was still very heavy. and again here way too heavy. Does his team think putting on a bunch of weight will give him george foreman power? Is he struggling getting the weight down at this point in his career? Did they believe there own hype too much?

Also eddie needs to get Huni out again asap. his stock just went up!

The only one that was out of line was 98-92, far too wide. The other two perfectly acceptable, as well as 97-93.
