Great stuff as always Rummy As a side tangent, y'know I know a lot of jokes have been made about "Rummy's Curse" and all that, but I'm starting to think the WBO Interim title might carry a curse with it. Has anyone else noticed the dumbass decisions the people holding that title have made in their defenses of it? Like, Joe Joyce, a man who leads with his chin as a defense... Better fight a huge power puncher with fast counters! Then Zhang, possessing an awful gas tank and coming off of fighting a man with zero head movement... Let's fight a mover and come into the fight in my worst condition yet, why not! And now Joseph Parker, a mover who doesn't pack a huge punch... Let's pack on weight and brawl with a known big puncher! What the hell is it about this trinket that makes its owners make such bizarre calls. What next, is Wardley gonna try and outbox Usyk?
The Cobra doesn't think the fight should have been stopped. His video CLEARLY that the last few punches missed, and that Parker was alert. Both men were gassed. Would Foster have stopped the fight had it been Wardley against the ropes? Keep in mind they made Parker, The Champ, come into the ring before Wardley the challenger. This content is protected
Parker deserved to lose for that stupid intimidation goofy smile fake confidence staredown he was trying to give Wardley before they touched gloves at the bell. Wardley was probably given confidence at that display....you can't fake real confidence which Parker lacks.
How can he climb into the ring with Wardley, Wilder, Zhang, and Bakole and not have confidence in himself?
You know, you're right, that WBO interim belt has been one that has consistently resulted with bad predictions. I hadn't considered that, but during that stretch, my predictions haven't otherwise been as awful as usual.
