    This is for @CST80 aswell.

Over 20 unanswered punches in a 39 second onslaught from Wardley without Parker landing a single punch back.

Not to mention Parker had already taken a beating in the previous round.

Not all punches are equal. At lot of those are partially blocked and Parker's rolling with them. It was a really bad stoppage.

Don't agree the way Parker leaned back towards the ropes just before the stoppage he didn't look in good shape at all.

Parker should've clinched or took a knee you can't keep taking unanswered punches for a long period then complain about the stoppage.

I agree that he should have held. Don't get why a guy of his experience didn't do it. Wardley held in the first (I think) when he got hurt.

I like Wardley and was rooting for him but the stoppage was a shocker

Parker was knackered and looked spent, but you don't stop fights for boxers being tired. If that was the case, most fights would be stopped early, particularly at HW.

Yes, Parker wasn't in a great place, and he did fall back to the ropes, but he was blocking and evading most of the shots, most significantly, the last three shots before Foster stepped in.

I think people have gotten used to bad stoppages, so this seems like an acceptable stoppage. It wasn't.

If we stop fights for a shot at the world title when one fighter is tired and hurt, but is still defending themselves, then we might as well kill the sport off.

Over 20 unanswered punches in a 40 second onslaught I've seen far worse stoppages.

I've seen worse stoppages, too. It still doesn't change the fact that it was a bad stoppage.

He was slipping or blocking most, and attempted a punch himself four punches before the ref called it. Parker was aware and displaying defense at all times.

All right, I get it. I am a safety first guy. Don't want to see Parker get himself killed, and the ref feels the weight of that responsibility to act on what he sees in the moment...it's just not what I was seeing.

All right, they got the result they were hoping for, and Wardley will likely get the shot. Just remember a rematch for Joe down the line.

I didn't have any issues with the stoppage mate.

If you're taking punches for a long period without landing a punch back for me you can't have any complaints.

Parker could've took a knee or clinched but he just kept taking punches giving the referee no option.

When Parker leaned back towards the ropes 5 seconds before the stoppage he didn't look in good shape to me at all.

Stoppage was right at the weak end of ok. Given his pedigree I think he should have been given another few seconds.

I will say, the guy didn't handle the whole thing well at all. Knee, grab, both would have given him the 12th.

He was on the ropes at the start of the sequence and came forward and fired more shots. This is HW boxing and it’s the 11th round. It really took the gloss off a fun fight and the outcome ruined it for Parker AND Wardley

I think holding is easier said than done when you are taking that punishment.
