Since so many people are talking about this, I thought I should make a poll.

Was the stoppage in Wardley-Parker too soon?

Had Parker been British and Wardley a New Zealander would Howard Foster been more likely to give him a chance?

Parker wasn't badly hurt and never went down, he was still moving well and avoiding most of the punches. Could Foster have given him a standing 8 count?

A slightly early one. We needed to see another 20-30 seconds. I reckon Wardley would have punched himself out.

I find it hilarious Froch Is talking.

He said his stoppage win vs Groves was legit and yet that was a far worse stoppage than Wardley & Parker.

So Froch is ok if he gets an early stoppage from Howard Foster.

But yet Wardley & Parker which was a much more legit stoppage than his stoppage over Groves yet he has an issue with that.

No bias from Froch there then I guess "sarcasm".

Parker was getting rocked hard and clean and wasn't responding with enough punches. The ref isn't going to just stand there letting a guy take too many unanswered punches. If Parker at least threw an occasional counter to keep Wardley off him, or was rolling with the shots/blocking that'd be different. He tried to use some head movement, but it wasn't effective and kept getting world clean with nearly every other shot.

Absolutely an early stoppage. You can try and rationalise it to see from the ref’s perspective but at the end of the day Parker was on his feet winning a fight in the 11th round and almost all of Wardley’s punches missed. And it’s not exactly like Howard Foster doesn’t already have a reputation for stopping fights too soon.

I thought it was fine personally, but I get the frustration with it. Wardley was seemingly beginning to gas out and not throwing as much, and Parker is a resilient dude.

At the same time though, it was deep into a round where Parker was taking tons of punishment with little resistance and had just dropped his hands moments earlier. Then again... Foster did it just after Parker finally offered some resistance and either didn't get hit by or took a lot of steam off of the incoming punches, so I can see where the complaints are coming from.

Either way, it's far from the worst stoppage I've seen.

    It was early.

Very early considering Parker was winning overall, and never looked out-of-it

I didn't have the fight so one-sided to Parker, personally. So, a knock down for Fabio, could have resulted in a SD or MD

If he had been getting pummeled for the last few rounds I could maybe get it but he was winning on the scorecards, still alert and defending himself.

Slightly early, but not a bad stoppage in truth. Parker was absolutely cooked, staggering around, looking totally desperate and helpless. Wardley perhaps robbed of a proper KO, Parker's long term health being protected....it was a little tedious, but OK.

I am not saying that Parker would've won but it was way too early and the most frustrating part was you could see that Foster was desperate to stop it.
