If Heavyweight rankings were strictly lineal

    In this system, not even that. He just has to fight every 2 years against somebody and not lose.

    I’m not advocating this as a perfect system, but I think it’s interesting.

    He beat Kownacki last year to get a spot on this list. Kownacki got on by beating Charles Martin.

    Shouldn’t there be criteria for having to have at least one victory in the previous half a decade to be ranked?
