If they’re both 100% I can see it being a great fight that goes the distance. But honestly in the vast majority of instances I would lean towards Povetkin. He was just a far more disciplined and well rounded fighter minus the lifestyle issues that Thomas had.

Povetkin takes away that jab, and beyond the jab, Thomas doesn’t have enough to keep Povetkin off.

If all you have to bother Povetkin is the jab, then you’re in big trouble, as he’d know he can take more risks as there’s not a threat he has to worry about behind it when he gets past it. Povetkin is great at taking away a jab, and that’s all Thomas has. Povetkin outmatches Thomas in all other departments outside the jab.

Part of being able to outjab someone is often because you can keep them honest with the threat of the right hand.

Povetkin had lots of trouble with Carlos Takams jab. He was pasted by AJs jab.
What great jabs was Povetkin taking away?

My edit onto that post basically answers that.

Also, Joshua’s jab wasn’t pasting Povetkin, Povetkin was often landing sharp counters over Joshua’s jab, it was the big right hand which spelled disaster for Povetkin, set up by the jab to the body, Thomas had nowhere near the power of Joshua with the right hand, nor did he extend it as well as Joshua.

Your edit doesn't answer what great jabs Povetkin was taking away?

Takam was shutting him out with the jab. He kept driving forward and got Takam out of there on sheer brute force fueled by a cacophony of performance enhancers.
Before his post Klitcho loes PED run , hed have been knackered after 6 round and there's a good possibility Takam would have beaten him.

AJ implemented a systemic jab attack to Povs head , chest and body from the early rounds. The jab pasting slowed him down which opened him up to the clean combos that landed so savagely his corner rushed the ring to save him

Chambers is another guy who tatooed Povetkin with a jab, at least early. I think Pinklon would win, but he's have to take some shots.

depends how much heroin Pinky has had and how much PEDs Povetkin has had. I know I always harp on this with these guys, but the idea that this can be easily judged is ridiculous. Hard to judge these guys on talent and character.

I would go with Thomas by at least a majority decision.
