I'm sure Manny wants a real fight but Floyd won't let that happen. Curious to see the rules Floyd wants to play under

Whoa, Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao in one year?

Mayweather is showing us what true greatness is! :ggg

...Hey man. There's prolly been a least one person seriously saying it. Might as well be one saying it in jest to balance it out :sisi1

Floyd is fine financially, he's aligned himself with a certain community and they will look after him providing he is a good puppet.

In this case the fools are Netflix, who are rumored to be interested in funding this fight.

How can Mayweather go broke after making 500 million plus in fight purses?

I just don’t see it happening as a real fight. Floyd won’t risk his 50-0 record. Not to mention Manny is active again now coming off 12 rounds with Barrios, the ring rust is a huge factor for Floyd.

Casuals will lap this up if it happens, they don't care if these guys are past their best, they have no real love of the sport they just want to be entertained and are willing to pay for that.

In the end the fight is meaningless and just a money grab, it really didn't mean all that much the first time given it should have happened 5-6 years earlier and it means even less now.

I'm sure I'll get sucked into the hype if it does happen, but I won't be shelling out for the PPV which will no doubt be extortionate. It would need a crazy undercard for me to even consider it.

A combined 97 years of age means a ton of experience (i.e., more time to hone their craft, address their weaknesses, study the first fight, etc). The inactivity isn't a factor - these guys are well-rested. As such, they're probably at their peak. Amazing fight. Winner should get Sugar Ray Leonard. Winner of that should jump up to light heavyweight and have a go with Michael Spinks.
