...and cocaine. You forgot cocaine. Fury was using cocaine to get by. Oh and boar meat. Tainted boar meat. Tainted boar meat and cocaine.

The result of that fight almost genuinely made me consider quitting watching boxing that night. But I love the sport itself too much. It's just the corruption that ruins it.

I can't stand AJ but he did to Ngannou what Fury should have done to him. A savage one punch KO. Fury is a disgrace to the sport.

Semantics. Twelve jabs does not win you the fight when the other guy outlanded you in power punches and knocked you down.

    Fight categories:

    Clean, hard punching
    effective aggression
    Defense
    Ring generalship
    Additional points (knockdowns, penalties)

Neither man landed any significant amount of punches in that fight. It was an extremely slow paced fight with very few punches being drown.

Which is why the knockdown would win the fight, not only on the extra point, but proving clean/hard punching.

People unfairly project their anger at Fury towards Ngannou in my opinion. Francis did nothing wrong, he came in ripped and fought his heart out.

It wasn't disgraceful to go down by a punch from such a big guy as Ngannou. It was disgraceful to underestimate your opponent and get into the ring totally unprepared and not giving a crap about the fans and the sport.

AJ embarrassed Fury more than Ngannou did by salvaging the dignity of boxing.

I thought Fury won, clearly did not take the fight seriously and behaved like it was an exhibition. It was a bad look

seriously not understanding how that helps Fury's case? That gives him less possible rounds to make up for the knockdown.

A knockdown is merely 1 extra point in one round. No other round is affected by that event; that was my point.

But, since you asked: In a 10 round fight Fury still needs 6 round to win it even if the knockdown did not happen. That extra point for Ngannou means the he needs 5 rounds to win the fight while Fury needs 6.

But it makes 1 in 10 a 10-8 round. When there are a multitude of other rounds that the fighters scoring the knockdown won, it is a more decisive factor than 12 jabs (actually in fairness, compubox says 17)
