February in Riyadh. 12 rounds scheduled for super middleweight again. Sheeraz defeated Berlanga via KO5 in July, which remains the last outing for either man. The rematch will occur seven months later.

The rematch no one wanted to happen. What a pointless waste of time this is for both fighters and the fans.

Of all ****ing fights to get a rematch

But eh, screw it. I'll tune in just for the satisfaction of seeing Berlanga get a mouthful of canvas again.

My guess is to make Hamzah look like a KO machine and become the figurehead for Riyadh boxing as this all-action highlight reel KO powerhouse. He is limited, though, so he won't be able to do it to the top guys, just as the Adames fight showed, but in terms of skill, he's a level above Berlanga. Even with all that said, a rematch against Berlanga still doesn't make much sense.

This really is a head scratcher
Surely they could find a better opponent for Sheeraz?

Most likely explanation is, everyone knows Sheer Ass is a fraud, and the only bummy guy at 168 that's almost a surefire win for him is Berlanga. So why risk it? Iglesias, Shishkin, Sadjo, Mbilli, Marinez all wreck his ass violently. Munguia and Pacheco might even be to risky for him.

I was thinking he should fight Munguia. As long as there is testing I reckon he beats Munguia.

Surely this can't be real. Sheeraz ran over Berlanga like a semi running over a deer. What would be the point of doing it again?

Did Berlanga have a rematch clause or something?

    If not then just why?

I will accept no less than a best of seven matches in order to settle this legendary rivalry.

Sheeraz is just better, I expect lesser fighters to get the better of Berlanga and move him off the scene pretty quickly. 9 out of 10 times Sheeraz wins this matchup.

Makes no sense. Berlanga can't beat him.
