According to reports, Raymi was killed in an airstrike on 23 May 2015, dying at the age of 41.

Assuming that is correct, he started pro boxing at 37 and had his last bout at 41, only two months before his death.

Yup, I remember the news. There were a few guys here keeping tabs on him shortly before he died. I think at first his eye catching KO streak got him the attention, but then his bizzare career made a lot of people more curious as to what was really going on. The WBA ranking him made it all rather hilarious.

Clearly it was a fraudulent career, but we have no answers as to who he was, or why did they go down on this path. Just look at the ring walk here

Beka Lobjanidze has an interesting record to say the least and accusations have been made about him previously.

Lobjanidze finished with what BoxRec now credits as an 8-4 record but everything points to him having lied about it previously.

His 4 losses were against Whyte, Wallin, Helenius and Chisora. All of whom toyed with him before stopping him.

In the commentary for the Dillian Whyte fight, Lobjanidze is credited with '10 fights for 10 wins 8 of them by knockout' and described as a 'knock out specialist'.

According to BoxRec (now), Lobjanidze was 5 fights for 5 wins 4 by knockout when he fought Whyte and they were all against absolute bums - none of whom won a single fight after losing to Lobjanidze.

Of Lobjanidze's 12 career fights, 4 were against the same journeyman. A bum who finished his career 1-21.

    BoxRec: Beka Lobjanidze

Does Junlong Zhang count? When I first got into boxing I remember reading he and his team had been accused of match fixing, but I think there were also some that were outright falsified. I remember there was one fight on his record that's since been expunged, think it was against Victor Emilio Ramirez.

I'd forgotten about him. Came along with the reputation that he was going to be the next big thing but was glacially slow and seemed to be knocking out bum level opposition with arm punches.

Zhang got stopped by a very ordinary Mexican, German Garcia Montes, who coincidentally fights Teremoana Teremoana very shortly.

Bash Ali's record seems more of a result of poor record keeping in the old days, instead of actual phony fights. Decent chance that his opponents have had lots more fights that weren't recorded on Boxrec. But Bash Ali being a notable boxer is more likely to have his fights recorded, even though it's probably just the usual journeyman padding fights.

Not uncommon to see very incomplete records on some countries.

Raymi spent most of his time swinging wide, haymakers to the body. Like a pint-sized George Foreman.

    And over complete in others.

In some poorer countries, where the fighters earn a pittance to fight, it makes sense for fighters to load up their records with bums and top them up with their imaginations, in the quest for a fight overseas that might make them some decent money.

Taishan Dong 6-0-0 (3KOs) I almost think about this Chinese boxer. His fights were always held behind closed doors, without an audience. It's said that two of his fights never actually took place; they were canceled, yet they were still recorded as victories. This effectively ended his career. I don't know if the Americans at the time embellished the record because the geopolitical situation with China was deteriorating and he was intimidating at 2.13 meters (7 feet). Something I appreciate about France is that no record is a source of debate, unlike in Australia. I just saw here that some people are questioning Mark De Mori's record (even though I believe all his fights were legitimate). In France, there's photographic evidence of the judges' scorecards and the fight itself for absolutely every event. And at least about thirty witnesses even during Covid.

The official version of Taishan Dong ended his career was that he can't not find a promoter in China and wanted to be a actor and TV animator.

Well if you fought the same guy 4 times in a row but he knocked out you 4 times... it's not because you're a stupid it's because you want died I guess... I wonder what happen to that guy after.

Big Dong proved that size isn't everything.

As for DeMori's record. As horrid as it reads, l believe it's all true. I've watched many Youtube videos of DeMori fighting middle age circus freaks. He did it for so long he eventually became one himself.

There's not a single mention of him on Google other than in BoxRec in Raymi's record. It's like he never existed.

However, this Prince dude is actually the guy who broke Raymi's run of consecutive round 1 KOs.
