Lots and lots and lots of tickets still available for this. Not selling anywhere close to the first fight.
Most of the intrigue was whether Senior turned up. Watched 5 mins build up last night, was just Benn still going on like he won the fight, how he's got Eubank's number and what not, followed by the Matchroom bumboys saying they're certain he'll knock him out this time. Turned back off. I'd be more interested if you could watch it on Sky. Instead the only option is DAZN and Adam Smith droning on with added bollocks from Hearn and Bellew.
I’ve promised myself I’m not going to watch this fight, including any of the build up/promotion of it.Ive no interest in seeing it again for so many reasons and if the ticket sales are slow perhaps theres a lot of people thinking the same
Eubank chasing the money risking his health. Nobody forcing him to sign the contract. Deserves all he gets. Remember him in his early twenties having to take his gimp gloves and undies off to make middle weight. Freakshow fight.
Doesn’t make it right though. Offer most people millions and they’ll sign anything. The BBBoC were in Hearn & Benn’s pocket last time. They allowed Benn to wear horsehair gloves even though the contract stated they were banned. That idiot Robert Smith walked Saunders into Eubank’s changing room when 1) you have to be a licensed cornerman to oversee the wrapping of the hands and 2) they already had a team member of Benn’s in there. Also allowed media into a private weigh in. There’s footage of the gloves argument on YouTube where Team Eubank are pointing out the gloves Benn is wearing aren’t allowed and he’s just telling them to go away. Also footage of Smith trying to get Saunders into Eubank’s changing room.
None of that has anything to do with the issue I made. Sign the contract, negate your right to complain. All on him mate, sorry. He’s already a multi millionaire with more than he can possibly spend on his and his children’s life so it is simply pure greed. It’s not a tramp off his tits in spice outside a shop being offered a fight with Wardley for a couple of mil. Promoters always push it with what they can get away with for their man, think Fury Klitschko ring, think Froch Groves 2 ring size. The fighter can always say, no thanks, I’m going home.
We should hope that Eubank wins again with zero controversy. Because if Benn wins or there is a draw, we WILL get a third fight in the summer.
There is zero hype for this fight. I can’t believe it’s less than 2 weeks away. Hope Eubank wins. I won’t be paying for this one. Rematch feels unnecessary and the undercard is lame.
Benn by a controversial decision would make the most sense, if they are looking to make a third fight out of this. However the gulf in boxing skills between the two is such that I do not see Eubank ever losing to Benn.
I'm skipping this one. Don't mind getting PPV on Sky Sports, as I know I'm not going to get roped in to a subscription I don't want.
