There was a claim made on Twitter/X yesterday that he did, but it was from the same large-following troll account that falsely reported a Sheeraz vs. Berlanga rematch is taking place in February. Lots of Boxing Twitter people have been snookered in and reposted the "news", but it's untrue.

I imagine he has thought it over quite a lot; otherwise, he'd have fought again in 2023 or early 2024. That was a horrible loss to Crawford, in a fight that probably should've been stopped 2/3 rounds earlier. If he still has his health, then it's time to go; he is 36 next year, chronically inactive, and talks a lot slower than he used to. The manner of the loss would've shaved years off his career.

Do you believe Errol "One-Time I was Boxer" Thurman.. I mean Spence is going follow the established protocol of having two fights every five years or so?

Many boxers don't officially retire. In fact probably the majority these days.

Doubt we'll see Spence fight again.

He's done. He had so many opportunities to fight and didn't do it.

He was offered so many fights include ones from Fundora and Murtazaliev and he refused.

Its pretty clear Spence isnt coming back. Did he have a TBI? Was his alcoholism underreported? Was his Crawford loss due to medical injuries? Or was it just because he tried cutting weight one too many times? For reference, check out Chad Dawson versus Andre Ward. Dawson beat pillar to post by someone who wasnt a power puncher. Hell, look at RJJ against Tarver 2. Those cases involved fighters DROPPING weight but Spence was a HUGE WW.

I do NOT believe Crawford's win had ANYTHING to do with Spence's medical issues as evidenced by two great albeit imperfect performances against Danny Garcia and Yordenis Ugas. I think Spence tried to cut weight one too many times and there's a LONG history of fighters having zero punch resistance when they're too drained. To be fair to Bud he tried making the fight years before it happened...Uncle Al blocked it.

Cant wait till Turki takes over this sport. Anyhow, sorry for the rant, but Spence isnt coming back.

To be fair…. not many would fight either of those two after a bad loss and/or a long lay off.

But yeah I’d say he isn’t coming back if he hasn’t yet.

The fact someone like Spence needs to spend years finding himself after their loss is an indictment of 0 culture.

Someone needs to tell him Crawfords at 160. He might be in the wilderness somewhere and doesn't know.

But he's not a country boy.. He just happened to buy land and in live in country after some success. He's a New Yorker that moved to Texas, partied, crashed, and got beat up. Now he's simply just existing with his riches in the country.

Didn’t he recently pull out of a fight for failing the pre-fight medical?
