Unpopular opinion: Lewis was at his peak against Shannon Briggs. This is the best version of Lewis

It was as those who knew best saw it. It is quite possible that Tyson defused the potential that Ruddock possessed, or that Lewis did this. Either way, Lewis turned the trick no one before or since had done, an emphatic, early, one-sided KO of the giant smasher.

And you meant The 2 Jamaicans.

Incredible that Lewis is a little older than Tyson but reached his prime a decade after Mike did.

Ruddock looked great in the Phil Jackson fight leading up to Lewis.

In Ruddock/Lewis i just remember they were both very cautious in the first round. Feeling each other out as they say. When Ruddock throws a jab to the body of Lewis.

Lewis's face was in disbelief because Razor did it so slow almost half speed and Lennox let him get away with it. He essentially put his head on a platter for Lennox Lewis.

Towards the end of the round Razor throws a jab to the body again at half speed. Ofcourse Lennox wasnt going to make the same mistake twice.

"Peak" Lewis for me start's in 97 and ends with the first Holyfield fight.

His best performance IMO is the Rahman 2 fight though.

Lewis looked great in this one. And would continue doing so for a number of years. Grant, Golota, Holy 1, Tua, Rahman 2 and Tyson were all very sharp performances from him.

Maybe age had robbed him of that little something when he came to Rahman and Tyson, but nothing that's very clear to me. Rahman 1 was a case of poor focus, imo, which can happen at any time, especially after a period of success.

Better than Lewis looked against him to be honest.

Lewis pulled off an all time great performance after recuperating from being hurt. He disposed of a hard hitting young athletic prospect
