Beterbiev v Dawson At Light Heavy

Dawson would have no chance against Beterbiev, but a decent chance against Bivol.

 

Beterbiev. If Dawson wasn't American he wouldn't have been as overrated as he was in his prime. Dawson loses to Beterbiev, Bivol, Kovalev and Gvozdyk. Actually did lose to Ward, Pascal and Stevenson already irl. Would have lost to Canelo, Benavidez and probably Badou Jack, Eleider Alvarez and Gilberto Ramirez too.

 

Yeah, that's why Dawson was overrated and Adamek was underrated. Wait.

 

Dawson makes Beterbiev look limited until his organs explode.

 

Beterbiev walks him down and slaughters him.

 

Never had a high opinion of Dawson. Beterbiev stops him

 

Dawson's speed will make it competitive in the first half but then Beterbiev slowly breaks down Dawson and tops him late.

 

Dawson was a strange case. I wasn’t the only one that thought he was going to be a legit great. Wasn’t he in a FOTY candidate with Tomasz Adamek? He made BHop flop like a landed fish and seemed like he was destined for a long run. Then he stupidly agreed to fight BHop Jr at 168, was stopped shockingly early and faded into Bolivion

 

People say Ward ruined him, but I don't think Dawson had any clue what he was up against in his next fight against Stevenson. I never saw him in great shape again after that.
